Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center is seeking a part-time Environmental Services Aide to perform floor cleaning, polishing and related duties in a hospital setting. This role involves operating various cleaning machines and maintaining a neat, safe work area in compliance with safety guidelines.

Works 20 hours per week with a schedule that includes Sundays and Thursdays in Week 1 and Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in Week 2, reporting to the Environmental Services team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1–2 years of housekeeping preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Able to read and follow safety labels and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, strip, polish and refinish floors using appropriate equipment and supplies; operate cleaning equipment.
• Maintain hard surface floors and carpets following department processes.
• Ensure timely and satisfactory completion of all assignments and seek additional tasks when possible.
