Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is hiring an Environmental Services Technician to disinfect areas and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff. You will support infection control practices and work collaboratively with the Environmental Services team across inpatient and outpatient areas.

Responsibilities include high-touch disinfection, handling waste, and following safety protocols. No prior education is required, and some travel to off-site locations may be needed.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Ability to follow basic oral/written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Disinfect high touch surfaces and clean areas.
• Clean patient rooms, exam rooms, nurse stations, and common areas.
• Handle medical waste and sharps following safety procedures.
• Use appropriate chemicals, tools, and PPE.
• Report facilities/maintenance issues to Supervisor.
• Occasionally travel to off-site locations.
