Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to help maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff in our Florida facility. The role focuses on high-touch disinfection, room cleaning, waste handling, and adherence to infection control practices.

Under supervision, you will support a busy healthcare environment, follow safety guidelines, and contribute to a polished, welcoming campus for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• No Experience Required.
• No Education Required.
• Ability to follow basic oral/written instructions in English (for safety of patients and staff).

Responsibilities

• High touch surface disinfection and cleaning.
• Clean and disinfect all areas including clinical inpatient/outpatient spaces, exam rooms, nurse stations, offices, labs, and common areas.
• Handle and dispose of medical waste and sharps following safety procedures.
• Use proper chemicals, tools, and equipment for each situation.
• Follow infection control, safety, and ES procedures in spills or incidents.
• Occasionally travel to off-site locations.
• Adhere to departmental and regulatory cleaning standards and policies.
