Job summary
Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Technician in Charlotte, NC to maintain clean and safe medical facilities for employees and visitors. Starting pay is $18.85/hour, with benefits including education assistance, wellness incentives, parental leave, health insurance, and retirement contributions.
Responsibilities include complete cleaning of assigned areas, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning floors, waste handling, and reporting repairs.
Qualifications
- Preferred: High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Preferred: One year experience
- Can prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
- Can operate equipment
- Can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers
Responsibilities
- Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas to include, but not limited to: dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures
- Washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures
- Sweeping, scrubbing and refinishing floors
- Vacuuming and shampooing carpet
- Re-stocking restrooms
- Replacing light bulbs
- Reporting repairs
- Indoor cleaning with occasional outdoor duties and use of ladder
- Handle waste and hazardous materials following safety guidelines
- Maintain clean and orderly equipment; report issues to maintenance staff
