Job summary

Grandview Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Services Worker II to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment for patients, staff, and visitors, following infection control standards.

You will perform floor care, waste removal, linen handling, spill cleanup, room and hallway sanitization, and keep accurate cleaning logs while communicating needs to the supervisor. Teamwork and reliability are essential in our fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or hospital facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and shampooing.
• Removes waste including biohazardous materials per policy.
• Handles soiled linens with proper containment and storage.
• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Responds to spills and conducts contamination cleanups with proper disinfection.
• Moves furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning or relocations.
• Monitors supply usage and stores supplies safely.
• Reports maintenance or repair needs to supervisor.
• Maintains accurate cleaning logs and task records.
• Performs other duties and maintains reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
