Qualifications

• Four year college degree strongly desired; high school diploma/GED required.
• Two years experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision is desired.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients housekeeping, floor care, and laundry staff.
• Trains workers in housekeeping, laundry, and floor care procedures.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises department activities.
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work completed by department employees.
• Maintains sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment.
• Forecasts and plans purchase of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment.
• Plans staffing schedules to ensure adequate services; maintains proper staffing levels.
• Maintains required records including inventory, compliance, income/expense, and personnel records.
• Conducts regular management staff meetings; communicates with other departments.
• Manages a cost-effective program to budget.
• Maintains department survey-ready status; complies with regulations.
• Maintains relations with residents, visitors, and community departments.
• Promotes professional growth and development of the team.
• Conducts quality assurance rounds and inspections; reports initiatives and accomplishments.
