Yona is seeking an Environmental Services Manager to oversee housekeeping, laundry, and related services in a skilled nursing facility. You will lead staff, ensure sanitary conditions, and coordinate with other departments to maintain high-quality resident care.

The role requires a four-year college degree or equivalent healthcare supervisory experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This position emphasizes compliance, budget management, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree or related experience strongly desired.
• Two years experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision is desired.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and/or orients housekeeping, floor care, and laundry staff.
• Trains workers in housekeeping, laundry, and floor care procedures and equipment operation.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises functions of the department.
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work by department employees.
• Maintains a sanitary, attractive and orderly environment.
• Forecasts and plans purchasing of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment.
• Plans staffing schedules to ensure adequate services and maintains proper staffing levels.
• Maintains records including inventory, compliance, income/expense, and personnel records.
• Conducts management staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Manages a cost-effective program to budget.
• Maintains survey readiness and compliance with regulations.
• Maintains excellent relations with residents, visitors, and community departments.
• Participates in facility meetings and committees and follows company policies.
• Promotes professional growth and development of the department team.
• Performs quality assurance rounds and reports on initiatives and accomplishments.
• Promotes resident satisfaction and quality of care.
