Job summary

Crothall Healthcare in Ashland, KY is seeking an Environmental Services Manager 1st shift to supervise support services, ensure a sterile, clean, and safe hospital environment, and uphold compliance with healthcare standards.

You will coordinate frontline staff, plan staffing, train new associates, and liaise with administration and clinical units to deliver reliable, high-quality service across all areas.

Qualifications

• 4 years of support services, military, housekeeping, and/or facilities maintenance experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
• Ability to adapt in a changing and stressful environment.
• Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
• Proficient with contract administration and office procedures.
• Proficient computer skills and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Establishes and annually reviews standards and work procedures for staff.
• Plans work and staffing to ensure adequate services.
• Assists in hiring and training of new associates.
• Orients, develops, and supervises supervisory/housekeeping staff.
• Conducts regular inspections and makes facility recommendations.
• Monthly reporting of goals, accomplishments, and future plans.
• Provides staff education and continuous training.
• Communicates with staff, administration, and other departments.
• Coordinates outside services (Pest Control, Window Cleaning, Medical and Solid Waste, Document Destruction, and Recycling).
