Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, part of the Mass General Brigham system, is seeking an Environmental Services Floor Technician for the Dover, NH location. The role supports infection prevention and hospital operations through specialized floor care and environmental services tasks.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience with cleaning equipment in healthcare settings, and the ability to operate floor care equipment or learn new skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience with cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals or healthcare settings.
• Previous floor care, environmental services, housekeeping, or custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors throughout the hospital.
• Operate high- and low-speed stripping and buffing machines.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets in assigned areas.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork.
• Clean walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, door glass, and related surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and replenish supplies.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for hospital events and daily operations.
• Identify and report building maintenance or safety concerns.
