Job summary

Ponca Tribe of Nebraska Environmental Services Manager oversees housekeeping, laundry and transportation services in the nursing facility to meet federal, state, tribal, and local standards. You will coordinate activities with all staff to ensure a clean, sanitary, safe, and adequately supplied environment for high-quality resident care.

The role includes hiring and training, scheduling, budgeting, infection-control readiness, and reporting on initiatives and outcomes, while promoting resident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; healthcare environment preferred.
• 2 years' experience in housekeeping, laundry, transportation, or facility maintenance with supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work around cleaning chemicals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients housekeeping, floor care, and laundry staff.
• Trains workers in housekeeping, laundry, floor care procedures and equipment use.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises department functions.
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work performed by staff.
• Maintains sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment meeting infection control standards.
• Forecasts and plans purchase of supplies, maintenance, and equipment.
• Plans staffing schedules to ensure adequate services and positive care outcomes.
• Maintains records including inventory, compliance, expenses, and licenses.
• Conducts management meetings and coordinates with other departments.
