Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Two years’ experience in housekeeping, laundry, transportation, and/or facility maintenance services in a healthcare environment and personnel supervision is desired.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire and orient housekeeping, floor care, and laundry staff.
• Train workers in housekeeping, laundry, and floor care procedures.
• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise department activities.
• Maintain sanitary, attractive and orderly environment meeting infection control standards.
• Forecast procurement of cleaning supplies, chemicals, linens, and equipment.
• Schedule staffing to ensure adequate services and positive care outcomes.
• Maintain records (inventory, compliance, expenses, licensure).
• Conduct regular management meetings and coordinate with other departments.
• Promote resident satisfaction and department surveys.
