Wellstone Big Rapids is seeking an Environmental Services Manager to lead the housekeeping, floor care, and laundry teams in a skilled nursing facility. You will plan, organize and direct operations to ensure sanitary, safe, and well-maintained environments that support high-quality resident care.

The role requires a four-year college degree and healthcare housekeeping supervisory experience, strong staff leadership, and proficiency with Windows-based Office tools.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree required; related experience strongly desired.
• Two years of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting with supervision.
• Ability to motivate and supervise staff.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet goals.
• Public speaking skills.
• Proficient with Windows-based Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle cleaning chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients housekeeping, floor care, and laundry staff.
• Trains workers in housekeeping, laundry, and floor care procedures and proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises functions and activities of the departments.
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work completed by department employees.
• Maintains an environment that is sanitary, attractive and orderly.
• Forecasts and plans the purchase of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment.
• Plans work and staffing schedules to ensure adequate services are rendered and maintains proper staffing levels.
• Maintains records including inventory, compliance, income/expense, and personnel records.
