Job summary

Greenview Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe common areas, resident rooms, and bathrooms in a long-term care setting in Texas. You will follow safety procedures, operate cleaning equipment, and support a courteous, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols, including using caution signage and storing chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Report resident safety concerns to appropriate leadership.
