Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in Hazleton, PA is seeking a Housekeeping teammate to maintain patient care and non-patient care areas in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, floors, surfaces, coordinating services with other departments, and ensuring safety and cleanliness. Day shift, every other weekend and holidays, with a focus on teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience working as housing aide
• Ability to adhere to safety procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment at all times.
• Knowledge of methods of cleaning guest rooms and operation of laundry services.
• High School Diploma/GED

Responsibilities

• Straightens and picks up trash in restrooms, sinks, showers, toilets, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and surfaces, and replenishes soap and paper products.
• Vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops floors on a routine basis.
• Dusts vents and polishes all furniture in common areas and patients rooms daily.
• Cleans and polishes fire extinguishers and ice machines weekly.
• Coordinates housekeeping services with other departments.
• Cleans all bathrooms and toilet bowls daily.
