Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Summer 2027 Software Engineer enGen Graduate Internship to develop and modernize enterprise healthcare technology solutions. You will work within the DCSS application development team on application development, API integrations, cloud-enabled solutions, and modernization initiatives that support critical healthcare operations.

You will collaborate across disciplines in an Agile environment, contributing to design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Pursuing a graduate degree (full or part-time) in an accredited college or university is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test application components.
• Support APIs and system integrations.
• Analyze application issues and contribute to modernization efforts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and team discussions.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, analysts and product owners.
• Document technical designs and implementation details.
• Work toward building secure, reliable, and scalable software solutions.
