Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking an Emergency Management Program Manager to lead the Environment of Care and Emergency Management programs across the network. The role focuses on coordinating safety operations, improving compliance, and ensuring regulatory standards are met to protect patients, staff, and visitors.

The position requires strong program management experience, FEMA coursework, and expertise in HICS/NIMS, with a track record in healthcare safety and emergency preparedness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or a combination of education and professional experience providing requisite knowledge, skills and ability.
• Includes Federal Emergency Management Agency Courses or equivalent training.
• Minimum 7 years in Healthcare Safety or Environmental Safety and Emergency Preparedness.
• Minimum 3 years of project/program leadership experience.
• Proven program management skill in safety and emergency preparedness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Environment of Care and Emergency Management program operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety and emergency management policies and procedures.
• Coordinate drills, exercises, and actual emergency responses; ensure timely, accurate reporting and debriefs.
• Serve as liaison with local, state, and regional councils/committees on emergency management and public safety matters.
• Lead cross-functional teams to reduce risk and improve patient safety and preparedness.
