Job summary

Optum Insight is seeking a full-time onsite specialist to perform insurance eligibility checks, obtain pre-authorizations, and coordinate with hospital departments to ensure smooth prior authorization workflows. The role involves patient interactions to resolve account issues and requires strong computer and Windows PC skills.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year in healthcare authorizations, with willingness to work full-time on-site at 915 Anderson Dr,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of authorizations experience within healthcare.
• Experience with patient registration and insurance verification in healthcare.
• Ability to work full-time onsite at 915 Anderson Dr, Aberdeen, WA 98520.
• Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday between 8:00am - 5:00pm PST including occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Performing insurance eligibility checks and obtaining pre-authorizations with Carriers, and researching and resolving issues to maximize profitability for clients.
• Daily coordination with Hospital department contacts as part of Prior Authorization workflow.
• Intermittent interaction with patients to resolve account issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
