Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) invites applications for a Non-credit Instructor in the Workforce Development Healthcare Education department within the School of Health Sciences. The instructor will provide high quality academic instruction and student support, ensuring consistency with the program's course objectives and assessment practices.

Qualifications

Associates degree and 1 year current or previous work experience in an outpatient healthcare setting OR a combination of 1 year teaching and/or training experience AND current or previous work experience in an outpatient healthcare setting.
Licensing requirements: PA Child Protective Service Laws and Act 15 clearances; Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Teaches assigned WFD courses for Healthcare Education; School of Health Sciences. - (Standard)
Participates in curriculum development and maintenance. - (Standard)
Provides academic support and advising to students including establishing and maintaining a schedule of office hours. - (Standard)
Participates in college governance by serving on joint, ad hoc, faculty, campus, division and discipline committees. - (Standard)
Provides high quality and consistent academic instruction to students. - (Essential)
Coordinate, plan, organize, and instruct academic courses according to approved course syllabus. - (Essential)
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. - (Essential)
Be thoroughly familiar and comply with all college policies and procedures. - (Essential)
