Job summary

Harford Community College invites applications for an Allied Health Instructor to deliver workforce and continuing education courses. You will distribute syllabi, teach as assigned, and assess student outcomes with exams and assignments while supporting student success.

The position is on campus with variable days, evenings, and weekends. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States; the college does not sponsor visas. Residency in Maryland or nearby states is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in the area of study, and proof of certifications and other qualifications where applicable.
• Two years of industry experience in the healthcare field.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and review class syllabus with students
• Deliver instruction as assigned, per College requirements
• Assess student outcomes through exams, quizzes and other graded assignments
• Communicate with students to support learning and goal achievement
• Submit required attendance and grades
• Adhere to FERPA records protection laws
• Stay current in methods and/or software needed to deliver instruction
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
