Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a Distribution Operations Coordinator to support daily supply distribution operations and inventory management across the enterprise.

The role focuses on coordinating workloads, optimizing staffing, and serving as a system-wide resource expert for inventory tools and par locations. Strong collaboration with clinical staff is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of experience in distribution operations.
• Experience with inventory and resource-management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs service audits and supports customer service recovery, acting as charge person in the absence of the supervisor.
• Represents the department in distribution efforts and communicates with clinicians and managers across the system.
• Maintains subject matter expertise on inventory systems and shares best practices with peers.
• Supports daily fill-rate analysis and coordinates with purchasing, sourcing, utilization management and vendors to ensure supplies are available.
• Designs, layouts and implements new par locations for renovations, new facilities and operational changes.
