Job summary

Wingate Residences at Cranston is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals according to cycle menus in a healthcare dietary setting. You will work under the Food Service Director and contribute to safe food handling and quality service.

This role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of health-care dietary experience. Candidates should communicate clearly with staff, residents and families, and be able to work flexible shifts across all schedules.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred.
• At least 1 year of food service experience in a health care dietary setting.
• Ability to read and follow recipe directions and diet orders.
• Strong verbal and written communication with staff, residents, and families.
• Willing to work flexible hours and during emergencies; travel for coverage may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals according to cycle menu.
• Monitors methods of food handling, preparation, meal service and equipment cleaning.
• Reports to the Food Service Director.
