Job summary

Park View is seeking a Food Service Assistant responsible for portioning meals, preparing trays according to diet guidelines, and maintaining proper serving temperatures. The role emphasizes following established procedures and safe handling in a healthcare kitchen.

You will perform sanitation and infection control, operate equipment like a dish machine, and work with peers in a team. Uniform policy and safety rules are part of daily duties, with attention to date marking and storage of food.

Qualifications

• Assembles resident meal trays according to menu and diet requirements while ensuring proper serving temperatures per established procedures.
• Follows sanitation and infection control procedures: hand washing, cleaning, and sanitizing areas, equipment, pots/pans and dishes per procedure.
• Loads and transports meal trays and serves according to established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reports repairs and maintenance to Lead Food Service Assistant
• Dresses in accordance with uniform policy
• Exercises good judgment and follows Park View policies and procedures
• Follows assigned duties as needed
• Works with peers in a team environment and assists coworkers as needed
• Observes safety procedures to operate equipment (dish-machine, garbage disposal, etc.)
• Stores food in designated areas using proper date marking system
