Job summary

Covingtoncountyhospital is seeking a Dietary Aid to follow dietitian meal plans, assist cooks and dietitians, and prepare meals for patients and residents with dietary restrictions. You will help implement menus and ensure nutrition guidelines are followed.

Responsibilities include keeping dining areas and kitchens clean, teaching patients about proper nutrition, and working a rotating 6 AM–6 PM schedule with health, dental, and vision insurance plus PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred for this role.
• Follow dietitian meal plans and state sanitary codes.
• Maintain clean dining areas and kitchens.
• Operate kitchen equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow Dietitian meal plans pertaining to each patient to ensure proper health.
• Maintain knowledge of agency rules, medical protocols and certification requirements.
• Keep dining areas and kitchens clean and sanitary.
• Operate some kitchen equipment as needed.
• Cleans floors and waste areas to meet sanitation codes.
• Dispose of waste according to state regulations.
• Clean areas used for preparing, serving and cleaning food after meals.
