Job summary

Gensler is seeking a Design Manager to lead healthcare projects, managing resources and serving as the primary liaison between the client and design teams. You will ensure projects are delivered on time and within or below budget, while guiding design and construction administration across multiple phases.

The role requires deep healthcare knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to mentor staff. You will work with experts across disciplines and maintain client relationships for ongoing

Qualifications

• Must have 20+ years of related healthcare project experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
• Proven leadership and mentoring across multiple project teams.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare project deliverables and codes.
• Strong client relationships and negotiation skills.
• Experience with MS Office and design software is required; Revit a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be trusted advisor to clients and build relationships.
• Collaborate with strategy and design leaders for client interactions.
• Coordinate communications among team, clients, vendors and officials.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, coordinate bidding.
• Manage all phases of healthcare projects including budgets and schedules.
• Take ownership of project financial performance.
• Mentor team members and drive process improvements.
• Oversee design deliverables in line with industry standards.
