Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Programmer/Research Analyst to support cancer-focused research using large-scale healthcare data. You will design and maintain analytic datasets, develop reproducible data pipelines, and apply ML/AI methods to population-level and clinical outcomes within HCC and MUSC.

Qualifikationen

• A high school diploma and two years work experience as Statistical/Research Analyst I; a bachelor’s degree with mathematics/statistics courses may substitute.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in health informatics, data science, health services research, biostatistics, epidemiology, or related field.
• Experience programming with SAS, SQL, Python, R, or Stata, including building/ managing large analytic datasets.

Aufgaben

• Build and maintain analytic datasets and data pipelines.
• Design, implement, and document reproducible workflows for assembling large-scale healthcare datasets.
• Develop statistical and computational code for analyses and modeling of real-world evidence and oncology research.
• Perform data integration, cleaning, and transformation across claims, EMR, registry, and survey data.
• Conduct descriptive and exploratory analyses to guide study design and analytic decisions.
• Contribute to manuscript-ready analyses and presentations at conferences.
