Highmark Health offers the Summer 2027 Data Science Research & Development (DSRD) Graduate Internship to graduate students. The program applies advanced data science, ML, AI, and software engineering to real healthcare challenges using clinical and insurance data.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Pursuit of a graduate degree (full or part-time) in an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day operations.
Under supervision, provide professional services aligned with day-to-day objectives; receive guidance and mentoring.
Undertake and participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise for the organization.
Participate in planning and implementing unit projects within area of expertise and ability.
Conduct research and prepare reports with recommendations or alternatives as requested by management.
Undertake related studies or enrichment programs relevant to the operating unit.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
