Job summary

Allied Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Integration Developer- Healthcare to advance data interoperability projects within the Texas Birth Defects Registry ecosystem.

The role focuses on needs assessment, automation, and system integration for electronic case reporting (eCR/eICR) and dashboard development to support modernization efforts. You will collaborate with epidemiology and technical staff to design solutions that reduce manual review and improve data usability across health

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAS, Python, or R scripting experience.
• Experience with system integration, dashboards, and automation for interoperability workflows.
• Experience with health data and databases; ability to query databases.
• Ability to document requirements and translate into technical solutions.
• Experience testing and validating automated data-integration solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to explain technical concepts to nontechnical staff.
• Preferred: eCR/eICR, EHR, HL7, FHIR, SNOMED CT knowledge.
• Preferred: SQL and data pipelines/ETL development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessment to enable TBIRDS eICR ingestion and auto-population of select fields.
• Develop, test, and maintain SAS, Python, R programs and dashboards for multiple branch processes.
• Test and validate automated workflow processes, standardization, and data processing methods; troubleshoot issues.
• Support interoperability initiatives and modernization of TBIRDS workflows.
• Collaborate with BDESB staff and partners to identify data and system requirements and document technical processes.
