Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience developing, testing, maintaining and troubleshooting SAS, Python, R or similar scripting languages.
• 8+ years experience with system integration, dashboard creation, and automation for interoperability workflows.
• 8+ years experience working with structured or semi-structured health/public health data; knowledge of databases and querying.
• 8+ years experience developing reports documenting system requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• 8+ years experience testing and validating automated data integration solutions.
• 8+ years ability to document code and technical specifications for improved workflows.
• 8+ years strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical staff; collaborative work style.
• 2+ years preferred experience with eCR/eICR, EHR/HEI, HL7/XML/FHIR, SNOMED CT; data linkage and ETL development.
• 2+ years preferred experience with SQL and relational databases, public health surveillance systems, and automated data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Interoperability Needs Assessment: evaluate TBIRDS ingestion of eICRs and auto-populate data fields; document scripts and workflows.
• Dashboards and System Integration: develop SAS/Python/R programs; build dashboards and automate data ingestion into TBIRDS.
• Testing and Validation: test automated workflows; validate accuracy and completeness; troubleshoot issues.
• Data Interoperability Automation and Registry Modernization: support integration of electronic health data into TBIRDS workflows.
• Technical Requirements and Recommendations: identify data/system requirements; document processes and proposed improvements.
