Job summary

The Phia Group is seeking a Data Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of data pipelines and analytics-ready datasets across teams. You will collaborate with stakeholders to solve complex data problems and enable data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities include building pipelines in Azure Data Factory, integrating with Snowflake, and enabling AI/ML workflows with robust data preparation and governance. A strong background in SQL and Python is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IT or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or BI roles
• Strong SQL, Python, or other programming languages for data processing and automation

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and ensure reliable delivery to Snowflake
• Implement monitoring, alerts, and data quality metrics for pipeline performance and lineage
• Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve problems
• Document data structures, processes, and architectural decisions for knowledge sharing
• Develop and optimize Snowflake objects and SQL transformations for analytics-ready datasets
• Collaborate with analysts and product owners to translate business needs into data requirements
• Enable data for AI/ML use cases by preparing feature-rich datasets and supporting model training and inference
• Support deployment and operation of ML models by integrating pipelines with ML workflows
• Improve reporting and analytics, automate self-service processes, and maintain version control
