Job summary

We are seeking a mid-level Business Analyst to work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technology leadership in a healthcare data environment. You will translate stakeholder goals into clear functional requirements and ensure development teams have the information needed to execute.

You will use SQL and Excel for data analysis, manage backlog items in Azure DevOps, and collaborate with data engineering and PM teams to support reporting, dashboards, and data platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst within IT, tech, data, or software environments.
• Experience gathering requirements and documenting them clearly.
• Experience creating user stories and working in Agile delivery methodologies.
• Comfortable working with data using SQL and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand goals, challenges, workflows, and technology needs.
• Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements.
• Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements, and documentation in an Agile environment.
• Work within Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, stories, sprint activities, and documentation.
• Collaborate with the Technical Project/Product Manager and Data Engineering team to support project execution.
• Participate in discovery sessions, sprint activities, and requirements discussions.
• Analyze data to investigate business questions, identify issues, validate requirements, and support decision-making.
• Use SQL and Excel to query, extract, manipulate, and analyze data when appropriate.
• Support initiatives involving reporting, dashboards, data platforms, integrations, and outbound data files.
• Identify dependencies across projects and requirements; resolve gaps and risks with stakeholders.
• Develop strong institutional knowledge of the organization’s healthcare operations, systems, data, and processes.
