Job summary

Carilion Clinics seeks a data warehouse/BI professional to support its data warehouse and reporting initiatives. You will work with the Business Analyst and IT to ensure data governance and data quality across the organization.

Responsibilities include data review, dictionary loading, training development, and cross-team collaboration on data intelligence projects, with occasional travel and on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, health care systems or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum four years’ experience in working with enterprise data sources and BI tools in a financial or healthcare environment.
• Dimensional Databases, Cubes And Columnar Data Structures Experience Preferred.
• Valid Virginia drivers' license and dependable transportation.
• Certification requirements: CBAP, CBIP, CDMP, DGSP.
• Experience with data governance and data quality programs; knowledge of OSI model is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple, variable tasks and data review processes to support business requests from the data warehouse.
• Analyzes and advises management on workflow issues and data integrity problems with recommendations.
• Loads the data dictionary and business glossary with terms, metadata, definitions, and related values.
• Develops reference materials for training of technical staff with minimal supervision.
• Manages assigned projects and meets deadlines with moderate supervision.
• Assists in training programs and materials for end-users and team development.
• Interfaces with clients, vendors, and other teams on multi-faceted data intelligence projects.
