Job summary

Maxpath Technologies LLC is seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst to join our Raleigh team. The role focuses on maintaining data exchange systems, performing complex data queries, and validating ETL processes across NC HIEA and SAS platforms.

You will work with clinicians and IT stakeholders to ensure data quality and reliable analytics. Ideal candidates bring strong SQL/SAS skills, HealthShare experience, and SME-level understanding of clinical data, HL7 v2, and C-CDA messages.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with SQL, SAS, and InterSystems HealthShare.
• Ability to lead technical analyses across complex EHR integrations.
• SME level knowledge with clinical data, EHRs, HL7 v2, and C-CDA messages.
• Mature knowledge of health information exchange data standards and formats.
• Experience analyzing and documenting clinical processes and requirements for health data exchange.
• Understanding of IT architecture principles, designs and specs.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare regulatory compliance relating to EHR systems and HIE.
• Experience developing training materials or end user reports on clinical data and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support technical infrastructure for NC HIEA and SAS platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Ensure stability and performance of data exchange systems and applications.
• Manage and coordinate change orders, bug fixes, and enhancements for the NC HealthConnex Clinical Portal.
• Develop and support complex data queries to assist with data validation, transformation, and reporting; verify data extracts and monitor ETL job streams; generate business analysis reports.
• Use SQL, SAS, and HealthShare tools to perform data exploration and generate insights for analytic and outbound services.
• Lead technical analysis efforts with detailed knowledge of EHR systems and data integration methodologies.
• Collaborate with data architects, developers, analysts, and clinical stakeholders to ensure data quality and system reliability.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Develop and support complex data queries to assist with data validation, transformation, and reporting. Verify data extracts and monitor ETL (extract, transform, load) job streams. Generate business analysis reports based on internal and external data requirements.
• Use SQL, SAS, and InterSystems HealthShare tools to perform data exploration and generate insights for various analytic and outbound services.
• Lead technical analysis efforts, bringing detailed knowledge of EHR systems and data integration methodologies.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including data architects, developers, analysts, and clinical stakeholders to ensure data quality and system reliability.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
