Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a Sous Chef to oversee the Culinary Department at the assigned facility in Georgia. You will supervise, prepare, and cook a variety of items, develop daily menus, and collaborate with the Executive Chef on cost control and client satisfaction.

This role offers an energetic culinary professional an opportunity to lead in a high-volume environment, support catering programs, and implement new culinary initiatives for the client.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience is desired depending on formal degree or training.
• Catering experience is a plus.
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations is highly desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience is helpful.
• Strong knowledge of food and catering trends, cost controls, sanitation, and presentation is important.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with cost controls and managing expenditures for the account.
• Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs in coordination with Company marketing and culinary teams.
