Job summary

Weber Shandwick's New York office is seeking a Senior Associate to join its healthcare specialty within the Global Crisis and Issues Practice. You will lead research, develop materials, and staff projects across pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, health systems and advocacy clients.

You will work with senior leadership to drive crisis communications strategies, monitor media, and deliver actionable recommendations in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with multi-office teams

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional experience in agency/consulting, healthcare org, or campaign
• Knowledge of PR skills and client services
• Fluent in Microsoft Suite and research/media monitoring platforms

Responsibilities

• Serves as key team member to support complex crisis communications situations
• Drafts and reviews press materials and crisis plans
• Develops media and stakeholder materials
• Monitors client issues and triangulates coverage
• Supports client communications and routine account materials
• Prepares for client meetings with detailed recaps and action steps
• Leads cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution
• Leads research and prepares executive summaries with actionable recommendations
• Acts as role model and updates manager on progress
• Contributes to inclusive team culture and continuous learning
• Participates in On-Duty schedule for after-hours support
