Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to administer and coordinate all credentialing activities, reappointments, and delegated credentialing. Ensures compliance with accreditation standards, government agencies, and Orlando Health bylaws.

The role supports medical staff and managed care offices through efficient processes and ongoing communication, maintaining credentialing files and contributing to performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 years’ experience credentialing/privileging or 1 year credentialing/privileging plus 2 years clinical experience.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and credentialing data systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs credentialing functions as outlined by Orlando Health management in accordance with established policy, procedures, and protocols.
• Performs timely and accurate primary source verification in addition to credentialing functions.
• Completes accurate and timely data entry of all credentialing activity into credentialing database.
• Provides exceptional customer service to physicians and physician office staff and internal customers.
• Identifies trends and assists in the development of action plans for performance improvement.
• Maintains credentialing and reappointment/recredentialing files.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular, punctual attendance and compliance with policies.
