St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking a corporate/ transactional attorney to join its Compliance and Legal teams.

You will support the System’s Corporate Compliance Department and leadership, serving as a trusted legal resource across business matters. The role involves due diligence on proposed transactions, contract review and negotiation, real estate matters, and employment agreements with physicians.

Qualifikationen

• Member in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar Association.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school with at least 3 years of corporate/ transactional experience.
• Working knowledge of health care law and business matters of health care systems; JD-MBA preferred.
• Knowledge of real estate, leasing, commercial agreements, and corporate formations.

Aufgaben

• Support Corporate Compliance and leadership with legal resources.
• Conduct due diligence on proposed business, employment and organizational transactions.
• Review, negotiate and complete contracts and agreements; manage real estate and other business matters.
• Oversee employment agreements with physicians and service agreements; ensure proper document management.
• Provide timely legal opinions and communicate insights to System leadership.
