Pawtucket Falls Health Care in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, is seeking a reliable Cook to join the dietary team. You will prepare nutritious, diet-compliant meals for residents, follow planned menus and physician orders, and ensure meals are served safely and on schedule.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and maintaining sanitation in line with health regulations. ServSafe is preferred, with opportunities for training and growth within our healthcare

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a Cook, preferably in a nursing home, hospital, or healthcare setting.
• ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, standardized recipes, and diet orders.
• Ensure food is handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with Department of Health and facility sanitation standards.
• Assist in menu planning and ensure proper portion control and presentation.
• Coordinate with dietary aides and other kitchen staff to maintain smooth meal service.
• Monitor food and supply inventory; report shortages or equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, storage, and food prep areas.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures at all times.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and quality improvement initiatives.
