Job summary

The Providence Groups, LLC is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare meals for residents, working with our Nutritionist to ensure nutrition, taste, and presentation meet dietary needs.

You will follow recipes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, manage supplies, and contribute to menu development while adhering to food safety standards. Experience in healthcare food service is valued, and senior staff may train and supervise kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited culinary school program (associate or bachelor’s) or equivalent in food preparation or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with major concentration in food preparation, nutrition or related field.
• High school diploma with minimum of five years in hospitality industry.
• Previous cook experience preferred, including health care food service setting.
• Knowledge of dietary regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and recipes
• Ensure that meals are nutritious, delicious, and visually appealing
• Monitor food supplies and order ingredients as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Collaborate with Nutritionist to develop menus that meet residents’ dietary needs
• Train and supervise kitchen staff as needed
