Job summary

Victory Housing is seeking a Cook/Kitchen Worker to support meal preparation for residents in a health-focused environment. You will prepare meals per dietary guidelines, maintain HACCP compliance, and ensure food safety.

The role requires ServSafe certification and a willingness to support residents with meal planning and dining services. Full-time, on-site position in Maryland with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification required.
• Experience in a health care setting is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Victory Housing mission is prioritized in all decisions and actions.
• Implement all VHI policies and procedures and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Prepare meals according to planned menus and nutritional guidelines; follow HACCP procedures.
• Adhere to portion control and serve meals at correct temperatures.
• Plate meals to meet dietary needs and presentation standards.
• Prepare for next day meals and assist with special events.
• Monitor inventory; report weekly to Executive Director.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and safe handling of all equipment.
• Assist with deliveries, storage, and waste minimization.
• Perform other duties as assigned and support residents and families.
