• Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu and production sheets and as directed.
• Handles food using proper food handling and safety techniques according to established policies and procedures.
• Ensures food is served attractively and palatable; uses tasting techniques to ensure quality.
• Maintains proper food temperatures during preparation and service; records temperatures as required.
• Assists with tray line setup and assembles trays according to menu, tray tickets, portions, and resident preferences; checks trays for accuracy.
