St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence, KY, is hiring a Cook to join our Nutrition Services Team. You will prepare food for patients and staff, following standardized recipes and safety standards, on the 2nd shift.

This full-time role offers weekday scheduling with every other weekend, competitive pay and benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for advancement within a compassionate healthcare network.

Qualifications

• 12 months in food service preparation.

Responsibilities

• Preparation: estimate amount to be served and obtain food from storage areas, convert recipes to yield appropriate quantity.
• Production: sautéing, grilling, baking, steaming, poaching, microwaving and other techniques as required to produce recipes.
• Service: read and prepare food orders in a timely and accurate manner and portion and garnish as needed.
• Kitchen Safety: monitor equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Food Safety: monitor temperatures and store all food items according to policy.
• Cleanliness: maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
• Quality: comply with local, state, federal and medical center standards.
