Forefront in Pittsburgh is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents, families, and staff in a healthcare setting. You will follow established recipes, monitor temperatures, and ensure food safety and quality throughout service.

With responsibilities to support daily operations, you will assist with ordering, storage, and sanitation, and participate in trainings and meetings to uphold health standards and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all preparation of resident, family, and employee meals.
• Follow standardized recipes, portioning, menu extensions, and presentation standards.
• Monitor temperature of hot and cold foods to meet established goals.
• Inspect delivered food products and supplies for quality and safety.
• Supervise and assist in storage of supplies and food products.
• Notify Chef Manager or Director of supplies or equipment needs.
• Report equipment breakdowns and unsafe conditions to the Chef Manager or Director.
• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Attend department meetings and complete mandatory training.
