WVU Health System seeks an Assistant General Counsel (Contracts) to assist in creating, reviewing, negotiating, and editing contracts and related documents for WVUHS and affiliated entities. Provides legal advice to internal customers on leases, affiliation agreements, clinical trial agreements, and other agreements.

The role supports the AGC (Contracts) with day-to-day duties and stays current on healthcare regulatory trends, Stark, fraud, and tax exemptions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Active West Virginia Bar membership or eligibility.
• At least three (3) years drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.

Responsabilités

• Provide backup coverage for the AGC in performance of responsibilities.
• Offer day-to-day legal advice on contracting matters.
• Stay current on fraud, Stark, compliance, and regulatory matters in healthcare.
• Review and draft contracts and agreements with outside parties.
• Advise on policies and procedures and corporate governance.
