Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare seeks a Business Continuity and Emergency Management Specialist to support preparedness, continuity, and incident management across SEP sites. You will gather information, maintain plans, and track actions to protect patient care and operations.

Responsibilities include risk reviews, plan development, drills, and coordination with clinical, operational, and external partners. Education includes a bachelor’s degree and completion of required emergency management training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Within 1 year of starting position, must complete organization-required emergency management, incident command, and safety training.
• Strong organizational, documentation, communication, customer service, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, maintain accurate readiness records, and communicate effectively during routine operations and emergency conditions.

Responsibilities

• Business impact analysis and risk review: gather, organize, and update information to identify services, resources, recovery priorities, and risks.
• Business continuity planning: create, update, organize, and maintain Business Continuity Plans and related documents.
• Emergency management support: maintain emergency plans, contact lists, materials, and partner coordination.
• Exercises, training, and improvement activities: plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate drills and training; track actions to completion.
• Incident response and recovery support: assist with notifications, coordinate resources, and support recovery activities.
• Records, reporting, and coordination: maintain records, dashboards, and evidence; coordinate with departments and external partners.
