Job summary

Austin Commercial, a leader in the commercial construction industry and part of Austin Industries, is seeking a Healthcare Superintendent for our Houston, TX division. You will provide overall direction and control of day-to-day field construction activities on assigned job sites, ensuring safety, quality and on-time completion.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of commercial construction field experience, OSHA 30, and the ability to lead diverse teams, read plans and specs, and coordinate with

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management or related field, or equivalent combination with experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (may obtain within first year).
• 6+ years of commercial construction field experience with supervisory duties.
• Proficient at reading plans and specifications; able to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field construction activities on the jobsite.
• Ensure site safety and implement safety plans and procedures.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and schedules for scope and materials.
• Plan site layout, equipment, and site access with project team.
• Direct field engineers and coordinate with architects/engineers to resolve issues.
• Assist PM in evaluating schedule, cost impacts, manpower and equipment projections.
