Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Healthcare Superintendent for its North Texas division to lead day-to-day field activities on the healthcare project site. The role requires strong supervisory skills, safety leadership, and coordination with project teams to ensure timely, compliant completion.

The ideal candidate has a BS in construction management or engineering, 6+ years of experience, and OSHA 30 training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training completed (or within first year).
• 6+ years of commercial construction field experience with supervisory duties.
• Ability to read plans and specs accurately and coordinate crews.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day field construction activities on the jobsite.
• Ensure overall site safety and enforce safety plans and procedures.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and schedules to plan work.
• Plan layout, crane areas, materials storage, and access routes.
• Lead foremen and field engineers; supervise quality and progress.
• Coordinate with project manager on manpower, equipment, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with laws, codes, and company policies.
• Administer safety, inspections, and occupancy-related requirements.
