Just Construction Recruitment seeks a Healthcare Superintendent to lead field operations on renovations, additions, and infrastructure work within occupied hospitals in North Carolina. You will own schedules, safety, quality, and coordination with hospital facilities, infection prevention, and clinical teams to keep the hospital running.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial construction field experience, incl. 4+ years as superintendent or lead assistant superintendent.
• 3+ years of direct healthcare project experience, renovations in occupied hospitals.
• Familiarity with ICRA, ILSM, negative air and pressure relationships, and healthcare shutdown procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage schedules (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and lead pull planning.
• Familiarity with NC Building Codes, NFPA 99 and 101, and NC DHSR processes.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification.
• Strong communication with clinical staff, facility directors, and design teams.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks and health screenings.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day construction operations including self-perform work, subcontractors, and trade partners.
• Develop and maintain baseline and look-ahead schedules with phasing for occupied patient areas.
• Plan and sequence logistics to keep patient, visitor, and staff traffic separate.
• Run weekly subcontractor meetings, pull planning sessions, and daily huddles.
• Support preconstruction by reviewing constructability, phasing, and site logistics.
• Implement and enforce ICRA and ICRA permit processes.
• Plan Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) and coordinate related impairments.
• Coordinate planned utility shutdowns using MOP processes.
• Control noise, vibration, dust, odor, and water intrusion; respond to hospital concerns.
• Maintain strong relationships with hospital leadership and departments.
