Job summary

Montefiore Health System seeks a Construction Safety Manager to lead and coordinate safety across all construction projects. You will implement robust safety programs, oversee incident investigations, and ensure compliance with OSHA, TJC, EPA, CMS and other regulatory standards across multiple Montefiore campuses.

The role demands strong leadership, training delivery capabilities, and collaboration with project managers, contractors, and departmental leadership to sustain safe construction

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety, healthcare compliance, or a related field.
• Expertise in investigations, delivering safety training, and OSHA regulations and TJC standards.
• Preferred OSHA Outreach Instructor certification (general industry or construction) and CHST or CSP.

Responsibilities

• Implements and maintains comprehensive construction safety programs across Montefiore Health System facilities.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations including OSHA, TJC, EPA, CMS, DEC, FDNY, DOH, DOT and DEP.
• Lead investigations into construction-related incidents and drive continuous improvement.
• Develops, delivers, and coordinates targeted safety training for staff and contractors.
• Collaborates with project managers, contractors, and leadership to integrate safety into all construction phases.
