Job summary

Leopardo Construction in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking a Project Manager II to lead mid-sized healthcare projects and support senior PMs on larger initiatives. You will oversee organization, scheduling, budgeting and implementation in alignment with company goals, while fostering client and A/E relationships and ensuring project profitability.

The role emphasizes preconstruction collaboration, bid evaluation, subcontracting, risk management and disciplined project controls to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or architecture related fields or equivalent training/experience.
• 5+ years experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager with estimating experience.
• Proven understanding of the construction process, blueprint reading and market knowledge.
• Proficiency with scheduling, financials and related software.

Responsibilities

• Support and/or lead preconstruction efforts on negotiated projects; prepare budgets and estimates and bid analysis.
• Prepare general conditions budgets and incorporate into overall project budget.
• Coordinate preparation of permit applications and document submittals.
• Negotiate and write subcontracts; ensure insurance and approvals are in place.
• Develop and monitor a detailed master schedule and critical path.
• Collaborate on comprehensive cost estimates and coordinate with Leopardo self-perform teams.
• Manage shop drawings/submittals, RFIs and change orders; maintain logs.
• Coordinate meetings and minutes; ensure project coordination and safety inspections.
• Review closeout documents and coordinate warranty calls.
• Collaborate to achieve project goals and establish client relationships.
• Participate in industry associations and new project opportunities.
