Job description

STV currently has an opening for a Healthcare Project Manager in the Construction Management group in Virginia.

Our PM/CM Division provides comprehensive services including program advisory, project management, project controls, owner's representation, and construction management as an agent. Our portfolio covers sectors such as healthcare, bioscience, public works, research, commercial, industrial, educational, judicial, institutional, transportation, and aviation.

We are seeking Healthcare Project Managers in Virginia with recent healthcare experience, particularly in managing capital programs, facility upgrades, renovations, and additions for healthcare facilities. The role involves managing Capital Program Management/Owner's Representative assignments, representing owner interests, and leading project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, including budgeting, planning, design, bidding, construction, commissioning, move planning, and closeout. Responsibilities:
  • Assist Senior Managers in leading project teams, setting goals, developing policies, and mentoring team members.
  • Manage staff, project financials, and schedules.
  • Lead cross-functional healthcare projects with resource demands, risks, and complexities.
  • Monitor design and construction activities to ensure compliance with contractual and quality standards.
  • Define and assign responsibilities to team members.
  • Mentor team members to develop skills and foster high performance.
  • Develop and monitor project financials, cash flows, and cost estimates; review purchase orders, change orders, and invoices.
  • Identify and address potential liabilities and risks.
  • Maintain project schedules and ensure objectives are met.
  • Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors; resolve conflicts.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Assist in developing standards, protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Guide and instruct less experienced team members.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 10 years of healthcare-related project management experience, including hospital, healthcare systems, pharmaceutical, or laboratory projects.
  • Experience managing projects valued at least $50 million in healthcare or related construction.
  • Experience managing high-rise construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, excellent communication skills, and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, SharePoint, and project management software.
  • Ability to forecast challenges and develop solutions to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance.

Compensation Range: $128,289.89 - $171,053.19
